About WiggleBums!
WiggleBums! is owned and operated by Jo Jacques, CDBC, CPDT, CPCT. Jo has attained designation as a Certified Professional Dog Trainer through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers; designation as a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant through the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (#023); designation as a Certified Pet Care Technician through the American Boarding Kennel Association; is a professional member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (#064427) and the Animal Behavior Management Alliance, and holds diplomas in Dog Behavior and Learning Theory through the Companion Animal Sciences Institute. Jo adheres to the Codes of Ethics and Conduct of the above associations, and her dedication to dog-friendly, non-force methods of training and behavior modification stem not only from her studies, but from personal experience as well.  Jo attends many seminars and classes in order to further her canine education, and will continue to do so -- continuing education enables her to give you the best, most up-to-date, dog-friendly training and behavior services available!  WiggleBums! is bonded and insured through the Mourer-Foster, Inc.

More about Jo:
Jo has helped many clients work through a myriad of behavior issues, including: fear aggression, resource guarding, territorial aggression, destructive behavior, house training issues, and multi-pet household problems. Jo continues to attend classes toward an advanced diploma through the Companion Animal Sciences Institute, as well as attending numerous seminars while working with other professionals in the field.  As well, Jo is the current president of the International Siberian Husky Club, and a member of the Dog Scouts of America and the Yankee Siberian Husky Club.

In caring for her own pets, Jo has added yet another dimension to her experience. WiggleBums! namesake, Snickers, has suffered from Intervertebral Disc Disease for the last few years and has been treated with acupuncture (special thanks to Dr. Kim Rotner of Hawthorne Animal Health Care), nutritional support, ramps and careful management, to make sure his bum keeps wiggling.  Sierra and Viking, both Seppala Siberian Huskies, have been incredible teachers of dog language and of the more primitive canine behaviors common to their breed. However, Viking, formerly a lead sled dog, suffers from mitral and tricuspid stenosis, managed through nutrition with the help of Dr. William Pollock of Farms Veterinary Clinic, Dr. Neil Harpster of Angell Memorial and Terry Roche of Canine Nutrition.

Jo's feline companions include Baby, a Maine Coon mix who has been through a bout with hyperthyroidism. Baby became a 'RadioCat' with an injection of radioactive iodine and has had no more problems with her thyroid function. Unfortunately, Baby has developed CRF, which Jo treats with nutrition and fluid replacement therapy. Psycho Killer, a plush-coat Tuxedo cat, has survived two severe bouts of FUS, only to develop severe pancreatitis and feline diabetes; luckily, diabetes was something Jo already knew about, but blood testing a cat was a new experience nonetheless. The feline members are completed by Lint, Sid, and Little Bear, and Jo also takes care of Petri, a Green Iguana who was rescued nearly 6 years ago with an intestinal blockage.  Nursing her back to health was quite a learning experience! Boo Radley, a Pueblan Milk Snake, and SweetPea (Dwarf Netherland) and Peanut (Mini-lop), bunnies round out the crew.
